Been Working on a lot of different stuff lately, little discombobulated bouncing from project to project since their all so different from one another. Been on a Big nostalgia kick as of late too, Picked up the Dukes of Hazzard seasons really cheap, i used to absolutely go nuts for that show as a kid, its fun silly stuff.

And good friends Terry Tibke and Kat Laraunge badgered me quite a bit this last year about watching SUPERNATURAL and thanks to my bud Bill I got a hold of seasons one through four…they were right, its freakin awesome and i love it. I even picked up the SUPERNATURAL RPG books, I collect RPG’s so it fed two addictions :).

KICK-ASS, got to see a special screening of it last night. Now if any of you know me you know i am very critical of Comic book movies, I think there is a fine line a Comic movie has to ride in order to be good. Comics are a completely different medium than motion pictures and thus a straight up translation usually fails to be entertaining let alone have the impact the book has in my opinion, and on the flip side if you change too much it becomes a whole other Intellectual property all together and to me taints the original source. Now KICK-ASS rode that fine line perfectly. The changes made only helped the characters and story from the book work a bit more smoothly and the ramped up humor offset the major Violence much like the disconnect to reality that comic book art naturally gives. And the Humor of this movie mixed with the over the top violence really created a unique thought provoking experience that s is very entertaining as well. Gotta thank Mike Malve and Atomic Comics for the invite, Julie and i had a blast!

Haven’t had a chance to open up for commissions in a while, I hope to do so in April sometime. Here’s some past Personal Sketch Card Commissions or “PSC’s” as is the vernacular. Let me know what you think.

Until next time folks.
