What up guys,
Okay so Thanksgiving last week rocked, had a nice relaxing time at home with family and neighbors, worked on Sketch cards most of the time (odd to draw zombies all through thanksgiving) but I made sure to still be there with everybody and it was fun.
Went out Saturday to get some art supplies and X-mas shopping done and while driving home we unfortunately witnessed a huge four car crash-a-palooza, one flew some 70 feet hitting a few cars in front of us. Five feet from getting whacked ourselves. It was ugly. Having been in WAY to many accidents myself it didn’t phase me all that much but my poor wife and daughter were in shock. I along with many others helped get most of the people out of the flipped and badly wrecked vehicles, had to literally rip off some doors to get a few kids out. Then a guy who was on a motorcycle got all hot under the collar because he was “almost” hit, he tries to fight one of the drivers who we had to pry out of a wreck and was very badly injured… AND was a woman. Subduing that asshole till police arrived was a pain in the ass.
Sunday was my wife’s Birthday, I gave her a Popcorn machine, on a cart and everything. shes a popcorn fiend i tells ya. Good friends Bill And Shannon Bailey took us out to what is now one of our absolute favorite places “Down under Wines” small restaurant/wine store/ bistro kinda place run by two Australians who completely love wine and sharing it with others, seriously these guys made it an all out experience. Bill and I pigged out on kangaroo fillets, Crocodile pot-stickers and unfortunately they were out of Ostrich meat…they make some mean sliders with Ostrich there. Meanwhile the girls got wasted sampling some eight different wines, it was a fun night to say the least.
This Coming Weekend Saturday Dec. 5th, I will be out at Spazdog Comics supporting the AZ Ghostbusters Toydrive and supporting my good friend Daniel Bradford as his book Robot 13 #2 is released ( and he made a great Ghostbuster/robot 13 art print for the event) so come on out support some damn good people and have a great time!
Then later on Saturday Dec. 5th I will be over at COMICZONE in Scottsdale celebrating their one year anniversary, free sketches, cake, belly-dancers….its going to be a good one.
And here is some of my art from the upcoming “Zombies vs. Cheerleaders” card set from 5Finity Productions…

back soon with more wacky antics and Art guys.
-BEN OUT!
